A fat stack of Singapore Black on the front table at Periplus Books at Senayan Plaza Mall, Jakarta. Right next to Fifty Shades Freed…oh bliss!

We have a mutual friend in jack Lynch. I saw your name and wondered whether you were the Neuromancer author, but you must get that a frustrating lot. We are both writers, though, you and I, but you’re much further along than I am. And we’re Asia hands– I’m in Texas at the moment, but lived 2002-2004 in Daejeon, S. Korea, and 2004 in southern India. I’ve also lived in S America and am going back in June or July. I usually curb my compulsion to befriend everyone in the world on Facebook with a letter of introduction if I can; Facebook friend on sending friend requests the way I follow on Twitter or Google+. Congratulations on finding your book on display. That must feel great.

Hi Mason, thank you for the kind words. Any friend of Jack Lynch is a friend of mine! Accordingly, I sent a friend request on facebook. I look forward to learning more about you. Good luck with your projects!
